One motion. Many lives.
Cosmic Signature
The shape of motion.
A living collection of recorded orbits · Cycle 0 to Cycle 2 · 72 works · since June 2026
A Signature is one token. Behind it stand one seed, one recorded orbit of three bodies, and every rendering we have published of that orbit. Nothing is drawn by hand, and nothing is drawn twice.
Each orbit is rendered twice, as Light and as Ink. In Light the three bodies leave luminous ribbons on black. In Ink the same motion carries sumi through a simulated fluid onto a kozo ground. They are two expressions of one work, of equal standing; neither is the original of the other.
We chose three bodies because three is the smallest number gravity cannot fully predict. Two bodies circle forever in a closed figure. Three improvise. Their paths are determined to the last decimal and still surprising, and that is the quality we wanted every work to carry.
For every work, one hundred thousand candidate orbits are simulated and scored for chaos, balance and form. A Borda count ranks them, and one is chosen. The number of the chosen candidate is published in the work’s record beside the weights that chose it.
Works are imprinted in cycles. Each successful round of the Cosmic Signature game ends by minting new tokens on Arbitrum, and their seeds are fixed in that one transaction. Cycle 0 opened the collection in June 2026. The collection grows with every cycle and never revises what it has published.
Everything shown here is a recorded rendering, not a live simulation. Every plate is reproduced from the published files, hash for hash, and every measurement on these pages, a wavelength, a chaos index, a count of syzygies, is the publisher’s own.
